The National Park Service is a federal agency which oversees, maintains, and protects lands that have been designated national parks, monuments, and special properties. Each park or monument has a unique historical or ecological value worth protecting, and is often visited by millions of tourists annually. In the Southwest, lands that fall under the National Park Service have a rich ancient history, are full of archaeological evidence, or remain sacred places to the Native American peoples in the area. The National Park Service is an essential partner in supporting LSWHTA, giving us the resources and access to take our SASS to multiple important and breathtaking sites.
